17 June, 2011 Meeting – Haymans Electrical Day

Haymans Electrical, a local electrical supplies distributor, has been a solid supporter of the Ballina Jockey Club and is set to continue this with sponsoring the meeting on Friday 17th June. They will be joining with some of their clients to promote their businesses and enjoy a days racing.
This is a TAB meeting with 8 races programmed including the Haymans Electrical Cup run over 1900m. This is a preview for the Murwillumbah Cup which is run over 2000m nine days later. The Ballina Bracelet Prelude will also be run on this day. This is a 1000m race for two year old races, has a $10,000 Brisbane Bloodstock bonus for sales graduates as well as being a lead up race for the Gem Array Jewellers Ballina Bracelet on 23 July.
Miss Sarah Wills, CEO of the Ballina Jockey Club said, “The winner of the Ballina Bracelet Prelude is exempt from ballot for the Ballina Bracelet, which is now a $20,000 race and carries a Brisbane Bloodstock bonus of $50,000. We would expect this race to draw some nice horses heading towards the Bracelet”.
Miss Wills further said “This promises to be an exciting days racing with a ‘Heat of the Rising Star’ series race for apprentice jockeys as well”.
